Founded in 1981, the Sundance Film Festival is dedicated to championing independent stories for the screen. Hundreds of films launched at the Festival have gained critical recognition and reached worldwide audiences eager for fresh perspectives and new voices.

The 2025 Festival’s comprehensive identity was designed by Sulki + Min. The system featured three main components:
1. The typeface Monument Grotesk Mono, modified to include a customizable underscore that references the landscape and buildings of Park City, Utah.
2. Combinations of abstract shapes, enlargements from scenery from past Sundance-winning films.
3. The color palette, with four primary colors and four corresponding secondary colors.
Working alongside Kristina Mueller at Sundance, Afternoon Inc. extended this design language into motion.
The trailer, a collaboration with composer Joel Pickard, was screened at the beginning of 90+ films at the festival, creating a calm transition before the start of each film.
